It is no coincidence that the company has been part of the Gallo Nero Consortium since 1964, the wine is produced and bottled only in the best years and the harvest is conducted manually, choosing only the excellent bunches.
The family has owned it since 1979, and the private collection began in 1965.
Il Poggiolino produces only and exclusively high quality products.
The vineyard area of Poggiolino is about 18 hectares with plants located between 320 and 400 meters above sea level.
Now as in the past, in harmony with nature, with love and hard work, we have the basis for producing excellent wines.
The cellar, restored in 2007, with its controlled temperature and modern systems, allows us to continue to work the precious harvest of the vineyards with care and carefulness.
Il Poggiolino is part of the Consorzio del Gallo Nero, producing Chianti Classico according to the ancient Chiantigiana tradition.
We have always preferred quality over quantity, and this is also visible from the limited production of certain vintages, which are precisely carried forward only if they are considered valid.
Every day great attention is put to all production processes and each bottle is checked by our experts to ensure the highest quality.
